Tiistaina käytiin katsomassa jellonia Korkeasaaressa. Olisin voinut seistä siellä sateessa varmasti tunteja katsellen tuota eläimien kuningasta. Mahtava eläin.

On Tuesday we went to see some lions. I could have spend hours in the rain watching those gorgeous animals. Truly the Lion King.

Eilen mentiin SeaWorldiin ja muksut tykkäsi. Tosin niin tykkäsin minäkin.

Yesterday we went to the SeaWorld. The kids loved it and so did I.

Päivitystä/Update

Pikkusen yli 400 sivua luettuna. Kirja on todella hyvä, harmittaa jo että on vika.

A bit over 400 pages read already. The book is really good, shame it's the last one of this series.

Yes, definitely! I’d like to try Lorna’s Laces, Louet Gems Pearl, Koigu or any cotton blend sockyarn.

5. Do you prefer variegated or solid sock yarn?
I like both.

6. What colors would you like to add to your sock yarn stash?
Green, tan, cocoa brown, teal, purple and reds.

7. What kind of sock patterns do you gravitate toward? Lace? Ribbed? Fair Isle?
Lace and ribbed but I really like Cookie A’s Millicent Sock Pattern and German Stocking Pattern

8. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, animals, etc.)
I have sensitive skin so socks knitted from itchy yarn can only be worn over cotton socks. I’m allergic to cats (but I have 3 of my own ;)), dust and some of the pollen.

9. Will your socks be exposed to cigarette smoke or animals as you knit them?
My DH smokes but only outdoors and I have 3 cats.

10. Are you willing to have an international Hogwarts Sock Pal?
Yes :)

Hogwarts Sock Swap Two

I finished the first round today, I hope the parcel will fly over to the States before the book is available. I had so much fun, so I desided to sign up for the second round :) This time I'm not a Gryffindor;

Postimies toi Hogwart Sock Swapin sukat. Aivan ihanat ja vielä puuvillaa. Steph oli laittanut minulle aivan upean paketin. Oli lempinamejani kaksi pussia, joista yksi on mystisesti kadonnut ;) Kahdet puikot, kahdet erilaiset silmukkamerkit, sukkien lankaa ja kirja Amazonin toivelistaltani. Olen todella otettu!

Postman delivered the Owlmail from Steph. The socks were cotton and absolutely perfect! There were my favourite candy (two bags, but the first bag has mysteriously disappeared ;)), 2 sets of dp-knitting needles, a book from my Amazon wishlist and some yarn from the socks. Steph, thank you!

I bought some yarn from Finnish version of eBay. Peaches & Cream will transform into a shawl and the off-white into a cardigan.



KTS-parini lähettämän paketin sain alkuviikosta. Juorulehdet luin lasten päiväuniaikaan heti samana päivänä ja lankaa olen hipelöinyt joka päivä :) Aivan ihanaa ja pehmeää lankaa. Ensimmäinen lankani, joka on käsin maalattu.

My KTS-pal Stephanie send me a parcel, I received it earlier this week. The gossip mags I read during the kids nap-time straight away :) Lovely yarn, the first hand-painted yarn I've ever had. Just lovely! Thank you Stephanie!
